Palliativity 170: The Stolen Lump, 1929

Where can I find a good Tengu? I don’t think they’re covered by my insurance…
Plot Synopsis:
“An old woodcutter with a swollen goiter hides in a tree during a rainstorm, and afterwards sees a gathering of Tengu.
He dances for them, and they’re entertained, so they grant his wish. He tells a friend but things don’t go as planned.”
In Japanese fairy tales, the happy endings are all the same:
An then not everyone died… yet.
